This is the model sculpted by artist Tom Gallo that will be enlarged to 21 feet and cast in bronze. Based on the original statue that stood on Monument Avenue in Richmond, the only modification is the belt buckle. While the original featured a double hook buckle, this model uses a Virginia belt buckle, which is historically what Lee wore in his full dress uniform.
